Privacy Policy

The short version: we only collect what we need, we keep it safe, and we never sell it. The details are below.

Who we are

Ayubaba Technologies Ltd runs an engineering-verified electronics marketplace based in the United Kingdom. Our registered office is at 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, WC2H 9JQ. When we say “we” or “us” in this policy, that's who we mean.

We take your privacy seriously, and this page explains in plain language what information we collect, why we collect it, and what your rights are.

What we collect

When you create an account or place an order, we collect the details we genuinely need: your name, email address, delivery address, and phone number. If you contact our support team, we keep a record of that conversation so we can help you better next time.

If you join our launch waitlist, we collect your name, email address, and (if you choose to tell us) which of our product ranges you're interested in. We only use these details to contact you about our launch, and only because you've given us your consent by ticking the agreement box on the form.

Payments are handled securely by our payment provider — we never see or store your full card details.

Like most websites, we also collect some technical information automatically, such as which pages you visit and the device you're using. This helps us understand how the site is used and where we can improve it.

How we use your information

We use your details to process your orders, deliver your items, and keep you updated about your purchase. If you've opted in, we may also send you occasional emails about new products or offers — you can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email.

We never sell your personal information to anyone, and we only share it with trusted partners who help us run the business, such as our delivery and payment providers.

Our legal bases for using your data

Under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR), we must have a lawful basis for everything we do with your personal data. These are the ones we rely on: “Contract” — when we process your details to fulfil an order you've placed with us. “Consent” — when you join our waitlist, subscribe to stock alerts, or opt in to marketing emails. “Legal obligation” — when we keep records the law requires, such as tax and accounting records. “Legitimate interests” — for things like keeping our site secure and preventing fraud, where our use of data doesn't override your rights.

Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time — for example by using the unsubscribe link in any email or by contacting us — and we'll stop that processing without affecting anything that happened before you withdrew.

How long we keep it

We keep your information for as long as you have an account with us, and for as long afterwards as we're legally required to — for example, order records are kept for tax purposes. If you close your account, we'll delete or anonymise your personal data unless the law requires us to keep it.

Waitlist details are kept only until we've launched and contacted you, or until you ask us to remove you — whichever comes first. You can ask to be removed from the waitlist at any time by emailing hello@ayubaba.co.uk.

Your rights

Under the UK GDPR you have the right to: access a copy of the information we hold about you; correct anything that's wrong; have your data deleted (“the right to be forgotten”); restrict or object to how we use it; receive your data in a portable format; and withdraw any consent you've given at any time. To exercise any of these rights, just get in touch at hello@ayubaba.co.uk and we'll respond within one month.

If you're not happy with how we've handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK's data protection regulator.

Cookies

We use a small number of cookies and similar technologies to keep the site working properly — for example, remembering what's in your basket and keeping you signed in. We keep these to the minimum needed to run the site.

Changes to this policy

If we make meaningful changes to how we handle your data, we'll update this page and let you know where appropriate. This policy was last updated in July 2026.
